00:00 – Welcome to this overview on how to add a transit declaration to a GMR. The Trader Support Service supports safety and security declarations for transit movements, for which you will also need a transit accompanying document or a transit security accompanying document provided by the trader. If you are also carrying consignments that have not been created by the trader support service, for example, goods moving under common transit, you must also include these consignments on the GMR separately. If you do need to add a transit declaration to your goods movement, select Transit Declaration then Continue. On the next screen, you’ll be asked to enter a transit declaration reference. Enter the transit movement reference number, selecting the type of document it has come from, whether it’s a transit accompanying document or a transit security accompanying document. A transit MRN will start with 21, followed by the two-letter code for the country where the transit movement started, for example, 21FR for transit movement started in France in 2021. Note, this is not the export accompanying document reference number. Then select Continue. Next, you’ll be asked to enter an entry summary safety and security declaration MRN. This is an 18-character reference starting with 21XI for movements into Northern Ireland in the year 2021. Then select Continue. Click on Add Another Declaration to add a new declaration. Once all declarations have been added, please refer to the video on how to finalise the GMR before goods movement.
